Restaurants in Fayetteville, NC. There used to be 13 locations. My father sold all
the locations to retire and move to Myrtle Beach, SC. Out of boredom, a new Pig-N-Chicken
was formed in nearby Garden City, SC. We pride ourselves on serving the North Carolina

1 chicken
1 lb. smoked sausage
½ cup diced onion
½ cup diced celery
½ cup diced green pepper
2 cups raw rice
1 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
salt and pepper to taste
- Cut up one whole chicken and parboil until the meat
pulls away from the bones. Discard bones, strain broth and set aside to cool. In a large
pot, saute the sausage, onion, celery, and green pepper in a small amount of oil. Add the
rice, thyme, red pepper, salt and pepper and saute 10 minutes or until rice is brown. Add
pulled chicken meat and two cups of broth. Let simmer on low for 45 minutes.
